Plant a Seed, Read: Summer Reading 2026
Summer is here, and it’s all about planting a seed, whether that’s a plant in the ground, a love of reading, a new interest, or a sense of curiosity about the world around you. This season, you can nurture those seeds through reading, discovery, and hands-on experiences at the Library.
Our Summer Reading Program kicks off on Thursday, May 28 from 2:30 – 6 pm
Dale Orbotcha will be amazing us with his bubble show at 4 pm. Sweet treats will be provided by Andy’s Custard, while supplies last. It will also be your first opportunity to register for a summer of fun with our reading program. Our program is open to all, babies through adults. No time to stop by the Library but you want to start the program? You can also use the reading log included in our newsletter, or click here to print a reading log from home. You will have the opportunity to register at your first check in.
To participate in the program, fill in a circle each day you read or listen to a story. You can fill in all of your circles by reading, or up to 10 of your circles can be filled in by completing activities from the list included on your reading log. Along the way you will have opportunities to stop by the Library to show off your progress and pick up prizes.
Once you fill in your entire reading log, you will be able to enter our grand prize drawing for a chance to win a big prize. The Summer Reading program ends July 31st.
