The Spot: A Place to Create
Welcome to The Spot at Riverside Public Library! Our Makerspace is a place for you to bring your ideas to life using equipment and software. From laser cutters and 3D printers to vinyl cutters and embroidery machines, The Spot has something to help turn your ideas into reality.
Using the Spot
Hours
The Spot is open for project work by appointment.
Additionally, we hold Open Hours every Tuesday from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM for ages 13+. Open Hours are a time to ask questions or find inspiration for your next creative endeavor. Staff will be on hand to give you an overview of our technology, teach you how to get started, and answer any questions. We can't do your project for you, but we can put you on the right path.
Location
Located on the lower level of the Library next to the Foley Community Room
Ages
The Spot is available to all SWAN library cardholders in good standing and aged 13+. Children ages 6 - 12 may use The Spot if accompanied by an adult aged 18+. For safety, children under the age of 6 are NOT allowed in The Spot.
