In Theaters Now. Cassandra Clare’s popular series Mortal Instruments  starts with City of Bone. It’s the tale of young Clarissa (Clary) Fray, a human girl with angelic powers who gets involved in a world of shadowhunters (and in fact learns that she is one herself) that seek to rid the world of demons. There’s much more to it than that and there are five books and counting. If you like magic, romance, action and mystery, it has it all.

In Theaters November, 2013. Just a little bit more wait until you can see Katniss battling it out again in the movie version of the second book in the Hunger Games series. (Enough time to catch up if you have yet to read this installment in the trilogy.) The Hunger Games are over but things are not peachy keen for Katniss and her friends and relatives. The Capitol has keep a close eye on District 12 and its victors, Peeta and Katniss who are finding life difficult even though their lifestyles have greatly improved. The politics and unrest in this dystopian world are about to boil over. Lots of action, a bit of romance, but lots of action! Alright!

The Maze Runner is another trilogy about a dystopian world, this time featuring a boy as a main character. The only life Thomas knows is the life of the Glade, a highly structured community where everyone has a job and supplies get delivered in. He has no memory of who he was before the Glade. The glade is surrounded by a wall and a Maze that each day runners must figure out the changes to it in a attempt to solve it. Who is Thomas? Why does this Glade community exist? And why the maze? Read the books and get ready for the movie release February 2014.
