June 13th…

June 13th, June 13th… hmmm. What’ so important about June 13th? It’s the start of the Summer Reading Program at Riverside Public Library! On this historic date you will be sorely disappointed if you don’t come to the library for the kick-off party. There will be plantings for you to take home, and newspaper seedling pots for you to make. Get in-touch with your inner child and do some finger painting. Ice cream for all those that want to sign-up then and there for summer reading. (Hey, we’re not above bribery!) Choose your reading goal of 21, 15, 9 or 6 books and start reading for awesome prizes AND plan which book party, movie, or event you’ll want to come to. There’s a special Halloween in July program just for teens, a Hunger Games Book Discussion, Olmsted Poetry Night, and a composting program, (not just for those that have a green thumb!) Batman movie marathon before the release of the new Batman movie will be something you won’t want to miss! All this summer fun can be yours simply by joining the Summer Reading Program. Don’t miss out!
