Knitting Club
returns... Mondays beginning September 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Come to the library with your knitting needles (or crochet hooks!) and a
skein of yarn to learn the basics of knitting or share your expertise
with others. All ages welcome, under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Drop in on our knitting club on Monday evenings, where you can share
ideas, relax with friends, meet new people. New members always welcome! |

Renovate Your Life Every Season of the Year Tuesday, September
23, 7pm Riverside Author, Joey Harmon, a Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, with a
private therapy practice will be here to talk about her book. Joey has
the utmost respect for those who have the courage to reach out for help
and are willing to do the work necessary to improve their lives. Books
will be available for purchase for $14.95. |

Historic
Storytelling
This fall, the Riverside Historical Museum will present a series of free
public programs at 7pm on Thursday evenings at the Riverside Library,
September 18th. The series of films and presentations will highlight the
earliest stories of the Riverside region from the first humans who lived
here to the opening of the I&M Canal. Locally produced films and
accomplished local storytellers will weave the spellbinding tales of
Riverside's past. Learn about the Indians of Riverside, hear the story
of the "Bravest Men in the World" and see the building of the I&M Canal

Everyone's going Batty this October! Join us for a Special Paper
Craft morning on Saturday, October 4th from 10 a.m. til noon, to create
Batiful projects. Creative card maker and Library staff member,
Rita Stronczek, will be here to teach you how to make four fabulous bat
projects; a luminary, bookmark, notebook and greeting card; all with a
bat theme! Register at the Reference Desk and pay the nominal $4 fee to
cover supplies (everyone who preregisters and pays will be guaranteed
all four projects). Or, take a chance and drop in to see if we can
accommodate extra guests. Please arrive by 11:30 a.m. Children under 12
must be accompanied by an adult who will supervise the child's craft
making. Please allow at least one hour to complete your projects |
