  Our Collection 

Adult Material
     Audio Materials:
 
The library has both music and book CD's as well as books on audio cassettes for your listening pleasure.
     Books:
 
The library’s holdings include 75,000 volumes ranging from current and classic fiction to source and reference materials covering thousands of specific subjects.

     CD-ROMS
 
A wide variety of interactive CD- ROMS are available for both children and adults.
     Magazines and Newspapers:
 
Over 250 magazines and newspapers are available.
     Special Collections:
 
Special collections on local history, local authors and Frederick Law Olmsted are available to the public. The Olmsted Collection is housed in a special area at the southwest corner of the main level of the library. All donations to this collection are made by the Olmsted Society of Riverside.
     Videos and DVD’s:
 
A variety of popular and documentary VHS videocassettes and DVD’s are available at the library. Fiction videos and DVD’s are loaned for less time than non-fiction videos and DVD’s.
 
Juvenile Material
   
Materials for children and young adults are available in a variety of formats: books, magazines, audio books on CD and cassette, DVD's, videos, music on compact disc, puzzles and CD--ROM's.

     Special areas of the collection have been designated for Easy Readers, Board Books, series books, graphic novels and Newbery, Caldecott and Printz award winners.

      Young Adults have a separate section which allows teens to enjoy their own collection of fiction, non–fiction and graphic novels.

     Several area schools participate in the textbook program here at the Library. If your child forgets their book at school, check to see if we have a non-circulating copy here at the library!
