Riverside
Public Library's Mission Statement
The Riverside
Public Library serves the Village of Riverside by providing access to
sources of knowledge and information gathering. Emphasis is placed on encouraging
young people to develop an interest in reading and learning; supporting
individuals of all ages in the pursuit of independent learning; providing
up-to-date reference and current interest materials; and maintaining a
unique collection on local history. The library promotes
technological access to materials while, at the same time, fostering
the landmark building's atmosphere of grace. The library offers a
wide array of informational and cultural programs as well as special programming
and services for children and adults.

Public Library Board of Trustees has Cancelled their Regular August
Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2008. All business
will be resumed at the September 9, 2008 Meeting, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Public Meeting Room of the Library. |
